On a recent episode of Marching to Madness, we caught up with Missouri assistant coach Chris Hollender.
Hollender comes over to the Tigers after serving as an assistant coach at UMKC for two years. Prior to that, he spent three seasons as an assistant at Mississippi State.
We discussed a lot of things regarding the Missouri program, including:
- How offseason workouts have been going thus far
- The returning nucleus of Jordan Barnett, Kevin Puryear, and Terrence Phillips
- What makes Michael Porter Jr. such a special player
- The other talented players in the 2017 recruiting class
- What it’s been like working for Cuonzo Martin
- So much more
I’ve wrote extensively about the outlook for the Tigers this upcoming season. If they can get all the pieces clicking early, this team can certainly make the NCAA Tournament.
The enthusiasm for Missouri basketball is as high as it has been in quite a while. It should make for a fun season in Columbia.
