Lovell’s Analysis:
The Rebels have several interesting matchups on the non-conference slate, with the December 16 game against Illinois State being the most notable.
We all remember when Illinois State head coach Dan Muller took to Twitter to try to get more power conference teams to schedule the Redbirds.
ACC BIG 10 BIG 12 SEC PAC 12 BIG EAST. It's me again. Looking 4 home & home next year. Pls call me 4 chance 4 QUALITY road win, top 33 RPI pic.twitter.com/zYAZpR3kJn

And right away, it was Twitterless Andy Kennedy that answered the bell and vowed to add Muller’s squad to his schedule.
.Hey @DanMuller I'm here with Coach Kennedy & since he doesn't do Twitter, he said to give us a call. We'd love to match up. https://t.co/eLrdBp0UIn

Sure enough, he did.
But beyond that game, Ole Miss also has a treacherous road game at MTSU. Kermit Davis has led the Blue Raiders to first round wins in back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, so that will be far from easy.
The home game against Virginia Tech and Big 12/SEC Challenge matchup at Texas will be difficult as well.
