Ben Howland has added another impressive talent to the mix at Mississippi State.
Reggie Perry, a 5-star forward who recently decommitted from Arkansas, has decided to join Howland’s group of young talent in Starkville.
Perry is ranked at No. 16 in 247Sports’s 2018 player rankings.
He is currently the highest-rated commit at an SEC school in the 2018 class.
Lovell’s Analysis:
Reggie’s father, Al, is a Mississippi State alum, so the change of heart to go from the Razorbacks to Bulldogs makes a lot of sense.
And we shouldn’t in any way be surprised at Howland’s ability to get another top-level talent to Mississippi State.
We’ve seen the amount of young talent he’s been able to amass thus far, and now it’s just a matter of getting that talent to reach its full potential.
Of course, the addition of Perry also fills a void that was left by Mario Kegler, who left the program and transferred to Baylor.
With Perry’s size and athleticism, he’ll be able to step on the court and contribute right away next season.
