Vanderbilt guard Matthew Fisher-Davis will miss the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury.
The senior suffered the injury in the Commodores’ 74-67 loss to Kentucky on January 13.
Fisher-Davis was second on the team in scoring and rebounding with 11.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.

He scored a season-high 31 points in Vanderbilt’s early-season loss to USC.
The Charlotte native averaged at least 22.9 minutes per game during all four of his seasons in Nashville.
Lovell’s Analysis
This is a tough way for Fisher-Davis’ career to end with the Commodores.
He had his ups and downs, but was consistently one of the better shooters in the SEC. He didn’t shoot as well this season, which likely had to do with teams being able to key in on him more without a player like Luke Kornet on the court.
The minutes per game stat above shows how big a role Fisher-Davis played over the past four years, and he shot over 37 percent in each of his first three seasons.
He’ll need to improve his individual defensive skills to be a mainstay at the next level, but his shooting ability is a huge asset.
It wouldn’t have made sense for him to risk further injury, especially in a season where Vanderbilt’s postseason outlook isn’t all that great given the team’s 7-12 start.
