After another wild weekend in the world of SEC basketball, several teams saw their NCAA Tournament profile take a big step forward.
Missouri was one of those teams, as the Tigers earned two huge wins this past week to move up to No. 32 in the latest RPI numbers.
Cuonzo Martin’s squad picked up victories over Alabama and Kentucky, and with those two teams both sitting in the RPI top 40, it’s helped Mizzou get back on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble.
Of course, the Crimson Tide had quite the Saturday win themselves in going to Gainesville and scoring an 18-point victory over Florida.
Alabama will likely need to win at least three of its final eight games to feel somewhat confident about making the tournament, and four would almost guaranteed a bid for Collin Sexton and company.
Meanwhile, Auburn moved back to No. 5 in the RPI following its win over Vanderbilt, which has propelled Bruce Pearl’s team into a No. 1 seed in some updated bracket projections.
Tennessee (13), Kentucky (16), Texas A&M (30), Arkansas (40), and Florida (48) round out the SEC teams currently in the top 50.
Here’s the full breakdown:
