Many SEC teams appear to be sitting pretty when it comes to their NCAA Tournament chances.
According to the latest bracket update from ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi, eight teams are currently projected to make the tournament field.
Auburn continues to lead the way at a No. 2 seed, with the Tigers scoring a big win over Kentucky earlier in the week.
Meanwhile, Tennessee is on the 4-line after bouncing back from a loss to Alabama by scoring a victory over South Carolina.
Missouri, Alabama, and Texas A&M have all drastically improved their tournament profiles in recent weeks, as all are projected as No. 7 seeds at the moment.
As for teams trending in the wrong direction, Florida and Kentucky both continue to fall in Lunardi’s bracket. The Gators are still slotted as a No. 6 seed, while Kentucky has dropped all the way to the 9-line after suffering a fourth straight defeat on Wednesday.
Here’s the full breakdown:
- No. 2 Auburn
- No. 4 Tennessee
- No. 6 Florida
- No. 7 Missouri
- No. 7 Alabama
- No. 7 Texas A&M
- No. 9 Kentucky
- No. 11 Arkansas
Selection Sunday takes place on March 11.
