It was another interesting Saturday in SEC basketball, as several teams picked up much-needed victories to improve their NCAA Tournament profile.
One of those teams was Florida, with the Gators taking down Auburn in Gainesville.
The win helped Mike White’s squad jump up to No. 55 in the RPI, and with remaining games against Alabama and Kentucky, Florida is very close to being locked in for a bid at this point.
Another team that certainly helped its cause was Arkansas. The Razorbacks shed their trend of losing on the road by knocking off Alabama, and a top 30 RPI should help them pack enough punch heading into Selection Sunday in two weeks.
Mississippi State also continued to help itself with an overtime win over South Carolina, and that helped the Bulldogs move up to No. 63 in the RPI.

Each team has only two regular season games remaining.
The SEC Tournament will tip off on March 7 in St. Louis.
