AP Poll: Kentucky jumps back into the top 25 after big week

After struggling during the middle stretch of SEC play, Kentucky is starting to make its move.

The Wildcats re-entered the AP poll this week at No. 23 after extending their winning streak to three games with an 87-66 victory over Missouri on Saturday.

John Calipari’s team is one of four teams with a 9-7 record in conference play, with the final week of the regular season set to decide which teams will secure a double by in the SEC Tournament.

Despite a road loss to Florida over the weekend, Auburn is still the league’s highest-ranked team at No. 14.

The Tigers will wrap up their schedule with a trip to Arkansas on Tuesday before hosting South Carolina on Saturday.

Tennessee moved up three spots to No. 19, and the Vols still have an outside shot at capturing the conference title should Auburn slip up in both games this week.

Arkansas (3) and Florida (1) were the only other SEC teams receiving votes.
