Loyola Chicago earned its second one-point victory of the 2018 NCAA Tournament with a 63-62 win over Tennessee in the South Region.
The Ramblers delivered another dramatic finish, as Clayton Custer’s jump shot with three seconds remaining helped them regain the lead after leading for the majority of the second half.
Tennessee forward Grant Williams converted a three-point play on the previous possession, which put the Vols in front by a point.
Aundre Jackson led the way for Loyola with 16 points, while Custer finished with 10.
Admiral Schofield paced Tennessee with 14 points. Jordan Bone added 13, and Williams posted 12.
Loyola captured a 27-24 edge on the glass and assisted on 17 of its 22 made field goals.
The Vols forced 10 turnovers and converted that into 20 points, but it wasn’t enough to score the victory.
Loyola will advance to take on the winner of the 2/7 matchup between Cincinnati and Nevada.
