Florida assistant coach Dusty May appears to be in the running for the head coaching position at Florida Atlantic.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman, May is one of the candidates currently in the mix to take over in Boca Raton.

May just finished up his third season as an assistant for the Gators.
Prior to coming to Gainesville, May served as an assistant at Louisiana Tech for six seasons. He also has previous coaching experience at UAB, Murray State, and Eastern Michigan.
May is an Indiana graduate and worked as a student manager and on the video staff for several seasons.
Florida Atlantic recently parted ways with Michael Curry after a 12-19 season. It was the team’s seventh straight losing season overall and fourth straight under Curry.
The Gators finished 21-13 this season and made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before losing to Texas Tech.
