Kentucky has announced that forward Tai Wynyard will transfer from the program.

The redshirt sophomore was granted his full release from the school on Monday.

Wynyard played just 5.4 minutes per game this season and was suspended back in February for a violation of team rules. His most recent in-game appearance was on December 31 against Georgia.

The New Zealand product played only 97 total minutes in two seasons.

He thanked the school and its fans in a post on Twitter:

Wynyard was rated as a top 100 prospect in the 2015 recruiting class.
