EJ Montgomery, a 5-star forward in the 2018 recruiting class, has committed to Kentucky.

Montgomery was previously committed to Auburn before reopening his recruitment after the FBI charged former assistant Chuck Person with corruption back in September.

The Georgia native had offers from numerous schools, with Duke and Vanderbilt also considered as potential front-runners.

According to 247Sports, Montgomery is ranked as the third-best power forward and the No. 12 player overall in the 2018 class.

Montgomery is the fourth commit for John Calipari and company in this class. Keldon Johnson, Immanuel Quickley, and Tyler Herro have all signed their letter of intent.

In addition to the newcomers, Calipari could have a lot of familiar faces on his 2018-19 roster.

Kevin Knox is the only player that has entered the NBA draft and signed with an agent, while fellow freshman PJ Washington has declared without signing.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Hamidou Diallo are most likely to enter the draft process as well, but there’s still no confirmation as to whether they will sign with an agent.

The Wildcats went 26-11 this season and advanced to the Sweet 16 before losing to Kansas State.
