Illinois transfer guard Mark Smith has officially committed to Missouri.
Smith announced his decision via Twitter late Saturday night.
The 6-4 freshman averaged 5.8 points and 1.4 assists in 19.1 minutes per game for the Illini this past season.

Due to NCAA transfer rules, Smith will be forced to sit out the 2018-19 season and will have three years of eligibility remaining once he takes the court for the Tigers.
He is a former top-100 recruit that had received interest from schools such as Kentucky, Michigan State, and Ohio State.
Smith isn’t the only transfer that Cuonzo Martin and company have pursued, as Evansville’s Dru Smith and Maine’s Aaron Calixte have also been potential targets.
Missouri must replace do-it-all guard Kassius Robertson and senior forward Jordan Barnett, as well as freshman phenom Michael Porter Jr., who has declared for the 2018 NBA draft and signed with an agent.
Jontay Porter has also declared for the draft, but has not hired an agent.
The Tigers went 20-13 overall this season and advanced for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2012-13 season.
