According to 247Sports, Cockburn is ranked as the No. 14 center and No. 44 overall player in the 2019 class.
The Vols currently have one commitment in the 2019 class, with 3-star small forward Davonte Gaines announcing his commitment to the school last July.
Tennessee has no commitments for this year, but the team is expected to return nearly its entire roster from this past season.
Rick Barnes loses guards James Daniel (graduation) and Chris Darrington (transfer), and Admiral Schofield has declared for the NBA draft without an agent, which would allow him to return to school for another season if he withdraws by May 30.
The Vols went 26-9 overall and captured a share of the SEC regular season title before losing to eventual Final Four participant Loyola Chicago in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
