According to 247Sports, Langford is ranked as the second-best shooting guard and No. 6 overall prospect in the 2018 recruiting class.
Bryce Drew and company were hoping to add Langford to what was already the Commodores’ best class ever thanks to the signings of 5-star prospects Darius Garland and Simi Shittu.
Aaron Nesmith, a 6-6 wing that ranks in the top 60 nationally, is also a part of that group and should have the opportunity to make an impact right away due to Langford’s decision to go elsewhere.
Vanderbilt loses three key seniors and its top four 3-point shooters from a season ago, but returns breakout guard Saben Lee (10.6 ppg) and adds Notre Dame transfer Matt Ryan.
The Commodores finished 12-20 overall this past season.
