Ignas Sargiunas, a Lithuanian guard in the 2018 recruiting class, has officially committed to Georgia.

Sargiunas was offered by several different schools throughout the recruiting process, including Arizona State and SMU.

He took an an official visit to those three schools, as well as Grand Canyon.

The 6-5 combo guard averaged 10.6 points in 27.0 minutes per game for Lithuania during the 2017 FIBA U18 European Championship.

Sargiunas joins three other players in Georgia’s 2018 class, with 4-star power forward Amanze Ngumezi and 3-star prospects Tye Fagan and JoJo Toppin already signed.

The team loses do-it-all forward Yante Maten to graduation, but does return the bulk of its rotation players and adds a new coaching staff to the mix.

Tom Crean was hired as head coach on April 4 after the school fired former coach Mark Fox, who led the school to two NCAA Tournament appearances in nine seasons.

The Bulldogs finished 18-15 overall this past season.
