Penn assistant coach Ira Bowman has been named the new assistant coach at Auburn.
The school announced the hire via Twitter on Friday.
Bowman spent the past six years as an assistant coach for the Quakers, with the team making the NCAA Tournament last season for the first time since 2007.

He played two seasons at Penn before going on to play professionally for several years, which included a couple years with the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers.
Bowman replaces former Auburn assistant Harris Adler, who left the coaching profession in May to work in his family’s business.
