Vanderbilt freshman Simi Shittu is expected to be cleared for the start of the 2018-19 season.
The 6-9 power forward suffered a torn ACL back in January, and has been rehabbing to get ready for the start of his freshman year.
Shittu, a 5-star prospect and McDonald’s All-American selection, joins 5-star point guard Darius Garland and 4-star wing Aaron Nesmith in the 2018 class for the Commodores.

According to 247Sports, Shittu ranks as the No. 3 power forward and No. 8 player overall in this year’s class.
Bryce Drew’s team loses its top three scorers from a season ago, but adds the strong freshman group and transfers Matt Ryan and Yanni Wetzell to the mix.
