Jaylen Forbes, a 4-star guard in the 2019 class, has officially committed to Alabama.
The 6-5 shooting guard announced his commitment via Twitter on Thursday, which didn’t surprise many people considering that the Crimson Tide had been the favorite throughout his recruitment.
Forbes had other offers from Kansas State, Murray State, Southern Miss, and UAB.

According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 17 shooting guard and the No. 100 player overall in the 2019 class.
His commitment marks the second player to join Alabama’s class for next year, as 4-star small forward Juwan Gary announced his commitment in mid-July.
With the additions of Gary and Forbes, the Crimson Tide currently rank second in the SEC and seventh nationally in the 2019 team rankings.
