Jaykwon Walton has de-committed from Mississippi State and will reopen his recruitment.
The 6-6 shooting guard committed to the Bulldogs last Saturday but quickly chose to back off his initial pledge to the school.
Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Louisville, and Memphis were the other schools included in Walton’s final seven.
Four-star guard Jaykwon Walton backed off his pledge to Mississippi State today, per sources. Walton, No. 59 in the @247Sports Composite, had committed to the Bulldogs on Saturday.

According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 2 player in Alabama and No. 7 shooting guard in the 2019 class.
Walton was Mississippi State’s first commitment in next year’s class.
