James Bishop, a 3-star guard in the 2019 recruiting class, has committed to LSU.

The 6-2 combo guard took his official visit to the school on Sept. 7 before visiting St. John’s last weekend.

Bishop attends Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore, Md.

According to 247Sports, he is rated as the No. 3 player in Maryland and No. 24 combo guard in the 2019 class.

Bishop becomes the first member of LSU’s class for next season, as 6-7 forward Aundre Hyatt reclassified to this year’s class.
