Kentucky head coach John Calipari discussed the upcoming 2018-19 season as the team’s media day on Thursday.
Calipari will enter his 10th season as coach of the Wildcats and will likely feature one of the deepest teams he’s had in Lexington.
He returns key contributors like PJ Washington, Nick Richards, and Quade Green while also adding another stellar freshman class that ranks second nationally.
Perhaps the biggest addition for Calipari and company is Stanford transfer Reid Travis, who should be a candidate for SEC Player of the Year after posting 19.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game last season.
The team will open up the regular season on Nov. 6 in a highly-anticipated matchup against Duke in the Champions Classic.
