The SEC released its preseason media awards on Wednesday morning, with Tennessee forward Grant Williams earning player of the year honors.
Williams, who won the award last season, is one of Tennessee’s top six scorers that return from a co-regular season champion team a year ago.
Joining Williams on the first team is Arkansas center Daniel Gafford, Kentucky forward Reid Travis, LSU guard Tremont Waters, and South Carolina forward Chris Silva.

Kentucky was picked as the regular season champion, with Tennessee and Auburn rounding out the top three.
