Vanderbilt point guard Darius Garland will miss the rest of the 2018-19 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus.
The team announced the news on Tuesday after Garland was forced to exit just two minutes into Vanderbilt’s most recent game against Kent State.
He led the Commodores in scoring by averaging 16.2 points in 27.8 minutes per game.

According to NBADraft.net, Garland is projected as the No. 17 overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft.
The Commodores are currently 4-1 on the season and will host Savannah State on Tuesday night.
