We’ve only a few days away from the start of SEC play, with teams around the league hoping to build off of some of the momentum from non-conference action.
The NCAA introduced its new NET rankings this season, which will play a role when determining the field for the tournament come March.
Here’s where SEC teams sit entering conference openers on Saturday:
- No. 7 Tennessee
- No. 12 Kentucky
- No. 18 Mississippi State
- No. 20 Auburn
- No. 26 LSU
- No. 32 Florida
- No. 43 Ole Miss
- No. 44 Vanderbilt
- No. 66 Missouri
- No. 72 Alabama
- No. 79 Georgia
- No. 84 Arkansas
- No. 116 Texas A&M
- No. 226 South Carolina
Obviously, there are still plenty of opportunities for teams to climb up the rankings.
The SEC will look to match its record eight tournament teams from last season.
