After a successful first day of action in the NCAA Tournament, the SEC struggled a bit on day two as two of the three teams suffered defeat.

There are four teams set to take the court on Saturday, with several having an opportunity to advance to the Sweet 16.

Let’s get to the picks.

Season Predictions Record (straight up): 234-82

No. 3 LSU vs. No. 6 Maryland – 12:10 p.m. EST, CBS

The Tigers were able to get beyond the pressure of the first round game, and this may be a favorable matchup for Tony Benford’s group.

While the Big Ten has had a ton of success in this tournament thus far, LSU may be able to make this a transition game that would force the Terrapins to play a style that they don’t want to play.

Prediction: LSU 75, Maryland 71

No. 2 Kentucky vs. No. 10 Wofford – 2:40 p.m. EST, CBS

There is obvious concern here for the Wildcats since they will be playing without P.J. Washington, and it doesn’t help that they’re going up against a Wofford team that hasn’t lost a game since Dec. 19.

The Terriers have the makeup to exploit some of Kentucky’s weaknesses, but Reid Travis and company should make enough plays down the stretch to pull out the win.

Prediction: Kentucky 70, Wofford 68

No. 2 Michigan vs. No. 10 Florida – 5:15 p.m. EST, CBS

Florida’s defensive abilities make this a more intriguing matchup than meets the eye, especially considering what Mike White’s squad was able to do to Nevada’s offense.

This will be a game where every possession matters based on how the two teams play, but I’ll lean towards the Wolverines to grab the victory.

Prediction: Michigan 65, Florida 58

No. 4 Auburn vs. No. 5 Kansas – 9:40 p.m. EST, TBS

Auburn had a wild first round matchup against New Mexico State, and Bruce Pearl’s team should be able to learn from of their late-game mistakes in that one.

Even with the Jayhawks playing extremely well, the Tigers’ ability to force turnovers and make 3-pointers is a recipe for success here.

Prediction: Auburn 78, Kansas 74
