Alabama is one of eight teams that will participate in the 2020 Maui Invitational.

New head coach Nate Oats appears to be coming on at the right time when it comes to in-season tournament for the Crimson Tide, as they’ll play in the Battle 4 Atlantis next season before heading to Maui the following year.

North Carolina, Indiana, Stanford, Davidson, Providence, Texas, and UNLV will also compete in the event.

Oats and company are already hard at work in terms of trying to piece together Alabama’s roster for next season, with John Petty announcing that he will return to the school after initially pursuing a transfer.

It’s still unknown whether star point guard Kira Lewis will choose to do the same after he also entered his name into the transfer portal.

Of course, Alabama is pursuing top prospect Trendon Watford as well, with Oats recently meeting with him.

The Tide missed out on the NCAA Tournament this past season but could certainly return there in Oats’ first season should the roster continue to come together.
