Kentucky has picked up a commitment from Bucknell grad transfer Nate Sestina.
The 6-9 forward announced his decision via Twitter on Thursday, as he’ll look to give the Wildcats a boost next season.
Sestina averaged 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds this past season while shooting 53.6 percent from the floor.
It’s been an amazing ride from Emporium to Bucknell and everywhere in between, and it’s surreal to think my college basketball career isn’t over yet.
I’m humbled to get started with @KentuckyMBB! Need to thank God, my family, my coaches, teammates and @UKCoachCalipari #BBN pic.twitter.com/JS3ZKqIS4e

John Calipari and company will likely need to replace both Reid Travis and PJ Washington, so the addition of Sestina gives the Wildcats an experienced player who can make an impact in the frontcourt.
Kentucky also has another stellar recruiting class on the way to Lexington, with the group ranking second nationally in the 2019 rankings.
And Calipari’s success will continue for a while after he agreed to a new deal that would essentially keep him as Kentucky’s coach for the rest of his career.
UCLA had expressed interest in Calipari and even talked with him about the job, but reports suggested that he had no desire to leave his current school
The Wildcats made yet another NCAA Tournament run this season before losing to Auburn in the Elite Eight.
