LSU guard Tremont Waters has officially declared for the 2019 NBA draft.

The school announced his decision via Twitter on Thursday, with Waters stating that he fully intends to hire an agent and remain in the draft.

He also hinted that even if he is not drafted, he will stay the professional route and not return to LSU next season.

New NCAA guidelines allow undrafted players to return to school even if they’ve hired an agent, but it seems as though Waters is ready to start a new chapter in his basketball career.

Teammate Naz Reid has also entered his name into the draft after he and Waters formed one of the most formidable duos in the country this past season thanks to their tremendous playmaking ability on both sides of the court.

Waters averaged 15.3 points and 5.8 assists per game while helping lead LSU to an SEC regular season title.

The Tigers advanced to the Sweet 16 before losing to Michigan State.
