Alabama point guard Kira Lewis announced on Monday that he will return to the school next season after choosing to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
Lewis decided to look for other potential options after the Crimson Tide parted ways with former head coach Avery Johnson.
However, it appears that new coach Nate Oats was able to sell Lewis on the new vision for the program, which could be a great development for both parties.

Lewis averaged 13.5 points and 2.9 assists during his freshman season in Tuscaloosa, and he should be an excellent fit for Oats’ up-tempo style.
With both Lewis and fellow guard John Petty returning to the team, Alabama could potentially be one of the SEC’s top teams next season.
Oats continues to be in pursuit of 2019 5-star forward Trendon Watford, with Alabama and Memphis seemingly battling for his services.
The Tide already have a good recruiting class on the way in, as the 4-star trio of Juwan Gary, Jaylen Forbes, and Jaden Shackelford have all signed with the school.
Oats also managed to lure in 3-star center Raymond Hawkins, who was a primary target while at Buffalo.
