Vanderbilt officially announced Jerry Stackhouse as its new head coach at a press conference on Monday.
The Commodores made the hiring official on Friday, as the Memphis Grizzlies assistant will take over as the school chose to fire former head coach Bryce Drew this offseason.
It wasn’t exactly a memorable season for the program, with Vanderbilt finishing 9-23 overall while going winless in SEC play.

Stackhouse, who also has experience as a head coach in the G-League, will make the transition into the college ranks in hopes of leading the Commodores to more success than they’ve had in recent years.
