LSU guard Javonte Smart has officially declared for the 2019 NBA draft.
Smart joins teammates Tremont Waters, Naz Reid, and Skylar Mays in entering the draft process, with all still having an opportunity to return to school if they withdraw from the process by May 29.
New NCAA rules allow players to sign with an agent while having the option of coming back to school should they go undrafted.

Smart averaged 11.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game this past season and played a key role in the Tigers advancing to the Sweet 16.
Of course, there is still uncertainty surrounding the program at this point, as head coach Will Wade was suspended back in early March.
And with LSU potentially losing several of its top players to the professional ranks, it’s hard to know exactly what the roster will look like next season.
The Tigers currently have two signees in the 2019 class, with 3-star combo guard James Bishop and JUCO shooting guard Charles Manning both headed to Baton Rouge.
