Trendon Watford, a 5-star forward in the 2019 recruiting class, has committed to LSU.
The 6-9 power forward, who attends Mountain Brook High School (AL), was initially set to announce his decision at the Jordan Brand Classic before pushing his commitment back due to the game not being televised.
Alabama, Indiana, and Memphis were also among his final four schools.
I want to sincerely thank everybody who recruited me through out this entire process. This by far have been the biggest and toughest decision of my life but with great support and prayer from my family and closest friends I will be attending Louisiana State University?? #BOOTUP pic.twitter.com/VZiEKKkOLC

Watford is ranked as the top player in Alabama and No. 17 player overall in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports.
Considering that the Tigers are losing Tremont Waters and Naz Reid to the NBA draft, adding Watford to the mix should allow them to compete near the top of the SEC once again next season.
