Keith Carter, who played for Ole Miss and earned All-America honors in 1999, has been named the interim athletic director at the school.
Carter has been serving as deputy AD since 2018 and will take over while the administration searches for a permanent replacement for Ross Bjork.
Bjork recently left the school to become the new AD at Texas A&M after Scott Woodward took the same role at LSU.

Ole Miss will likely have plenty of options to fill the role, and the new hire shouldn’t have many concerns when it comes to the state of the basketball program.
The Rebels advanced to the NCAA Tournament in Kermit Davis’ first season on the job and are set to return several key contributors next season.
