Alabama guard Kira Lewis and Mississippi State forward Reggie Perry are among 18 finalists for the USA’s U19 World Cup team.
Lewis and Perry were two of five college players to make the cut, along with Iowa State guard Tyrese Haliburton, Oklahoma State guard Issac Likekele, and Purdue center Trevion Williams.
The 12-man group will be announced prior to the team’s departure for Greece on June 24.

Lewis chose to return to the Crimson Tide this offseason after originally considering a transfer, while Perry went through the NBA draft process and ultimately chose to return to school for his sophomore season.
Both players should be have an opportunity to earn All-SEC honors next season, with their respective teams likely to be in the mix for an NCAA Tournament bid.
