Virginia Tech grad transfer Kerry Blackshear Jr. has committed to Florida.
The 6-10 forward was undoubtedly the best available transfer in college basketball, with several SEC schools pursuing him throughout the process.
He visited Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and it appears that Mike White and company made quite an impression during the trip to Gainesville.
And yes, I’m told that Kerry Blackshear Jr., has committed to Florida, per multiple sources. Gators beat out Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Arkansas and Texas A&M.

Blackshear averaged 14.9 points and 7.5 rebounds last season for the Hokies and should be one of the most impactful players in the SEC.
The Gators return several key contributors in Noah Locke, Keyontae Johnson, and Andrew Nembhard, while also adding a top five recruiting class to the mix.
