Georgia basketball has unveiled its 2019-20 non-conference schedule.
There are high expectations for the Bulldogs entering Tom Crean’s second season on the job, as they bring in the No. 2 prospect in the country in 5-star shooting guard Anthony Edwards.
And one of the most anticipated games on Georgia’s non-conference schedule will feature Edwards and company facing off against James Wiseman and Memphis as part of the inaugural SEC/ACC Alliance.

Lovell’s Analysis
The Bulldogs are going to be a team that relies on a lot of young players this season, and this type of schedule should certainly help get them ready for the weekly grind in the SEC.
While the schedule opens with what figures to be several winnable games, even mid-major opponents like Georgia Southern and Austin Peay will head to Athens with good talent on the roster.
But again, there will be plenty of attention on the Edwards vs. Wiseman showdown in Memphis, as they are projected to be the top two picks in the 2020 NBA Draft.
If Rayshaun Hammonds and others continue to develop around Edwards, this could be the annual SEC sleeper team we’re talking about in conference play.
