Vanderbilt assistant Adam Cohen headed to Stanford

Vanderbilt assistant coach Adam Cohen will be leaving Nashville to join Jerod Haase’s staff at Stanford.

Cohen served as an assistant on Kevin Stallings’ staff at Vandy for the past two seasons. Prior to his work with the Commodores, he coached at Rice, Harvard, and USC.

Here’s his full Vandy bio.

Bryce Drew will now need to fill an assistant position. Since Drew has yet to be officially announced at Vandy, he has time to sort this out.

He could bring his top Valpo assistant Luke Gore with him, and then build the rest of the staff from there. Vandy assistant Tom Richardson left to join Stallings’ staff at Pitt, while Dan Cage and Derrick Jones currently remain on staff.

It will be intriguing to see how Drew approaches the challenge of filling out his Vandy coaching staff.

Again, it seems likely that Gore or fellow Valpo assistant Roger Powell Jr. could come along with him.
