Bryce Drew adds Ohio State assistant Jake Diebler to Vandy staff

Ohio State assistant coach Jake Diebler has joined Bryce Drew’s staff at Vanderbilt.

Diebler served as the team’s video coordinator on Thad Matta’s staff in Columbus. Prior to that, he spent two seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater Valparaiso.

Diebler is the brother of former Ohio State standout Jon Diebler.

This is another strong hire for Drew, as he’s already added Valpo assistant Roger Powell Jr. to his Vandy staff.

Former Vandy assistants Adam Cohen (Stanford) and Dan Cage (Pittsburgh) both departed Nashville this past week.

After much speculation that he would join the Commodores, Drew’s former Valpo assistant Luke Gore will remain as an assistant for the Crusaders.
