Missouri lands UIC transfer K.J. Santos

Cuonzo Martin continues to bring in talent to Columbia, with the latest being UIC transfer K.J. Santos.

The versatile 6-8 wing averaged 7.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game during his freshman season with the Flames.

Santos transferred to Tallahassee Community College in May after leaving UIC.

The addition of Santos gives Martin and his staff one available scholarship remaining for the 2018-19 season.

Lovell’s Analysis:

Again, there simply isn’t a team in the country that has overhauled its program in the past four months quite like Missouri has.

While Santos’ numbers may not jump out at anyone, he’s the type of player that would seemingly thrive in Martin’s system, with the length and versatility to be effective on both ends of the floor.

It’s always interesting to see how a player develops at the JUCO level when he already knows his ultimate destination for the following season.

If Santos continues to hone his skills in Tallahassee, he should fit right in with how the Tigers want to play going forward.
