Lovell’s Analysis
What Bryce Drew is doing on the recruiting trail is something that absolutely should not be overlooked.
First it was the 5-star trio of Darius Garland, Romeo Langford, and James Wiseman (unofficial) scheduling visits for this weekend (September 22), and now Shittu announces a visit of his own.
The Commodores are also expected to be in the mix for several 4-star prospects, which shows that Drew and his staff are swinging for the fences in trying to turn this Vanderbilt program into a national contender.
Shittu would certainly bring a set of intangibles that simply can’t be taught. He has a 7-2 wingspan while sporting the elite athleticism needed to be an impact player at the next level.
Even if Drew can land one of these three outstanding prospects, it’ll prove that the future is extremely bright for the Commodores.
