Hagans is ranked No. 19 (No. 4 point guard) in ESPN’s Top 100 for the 2019 recruiting class.
He has already received numerous offers, with teams like North Carolina, Kansas, and Auburn among those considered in the mix.
Lovell’s Analysis
The SEC’s top two programs in recent years going after a highly-talented point guard? There’s a shocker.
But in all seriousness, Hagans can play.
He’s a true playmaker that obviously has the next-level size needed to be a major factor at the college level. His 6-4 frame already gives him a solid advantage, but he continually manages to use that in getting to the rim when he wants.
Of course, he also has the awareness and leadership needed to be successful at the point.
And while many SEC schools are vying for Hagans’ services – Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas A&M have all offered – one people definitely shouldn’t overlook is Auburn.
Bruce Pearl and his staff have targeted Hagans for a while now and have developed a great relationship with the talented prospect.
Hagans will certainly be a great fit in an up-tempo style where he can push the pace and create offense by getting into the lane.
And when you can do all those things in impressive fashion, you’re definitely going to have plenty of interest.
