South Carolina to host Virginia Tech in charity exhibition

South Carolina will host Virginia Tech on November 5 at 2 p.m. ET in the “Hoops 4 Hurricane Relief” exhibition game.

Like other exhibition events taking place around the country, the proceeds from this game will go towards helping those in Texas, South Florida, and Puerto Rico that were impacted by recent hurricanes.

Tickets for the game can be purchased online at TicketMaster. Donations can also be made online on South Carolina’s official website.

Both teams will start their regular season schedule on November 10.

Lovell’s Analysis

It’s incredible to see the momentum behind these charity games.

Missouri and Kansas raised $1.75 million Sunday during their exhibition contest, and it’s great that many other teams around the country are teaming up to try and deliver even more support to hurricane victims.

The NCAA gets a lot of criticism, and rightly so at times. However, at least it got this one right in allowing these games to happen.

Not only is it a fun event for players and coaches in getting ready for the start of the new season, but also one that can help better tons of lives following the devastating hurricanes.
