SEC Bracketology: Florida on the rise in Lunardi’s Jan. 22 bracket

After earning a win at Kentucky on Saturday, Florida is trending upward in Joe Lunardi’s updated bracketology for January 22.

The Gators stay on the rise and now sit at a No. 5 seed in Lunardi’s new bracket, although there is still one SEC team ahead of Florida in terms of seeding.

Auburn remained at a No. 4 seed despite having its 14-game winning streak snapped earlier in the week at Alabama. The Tigers responded nicely by outscoring Georgia by 28 points in the second half to move to 5-1 in conference play.

Meanwhile, Tennessee and Kentucky sit with Florida on the No. 5 line.

Here’s the full breakdown:

  • No. 4 Auburn
  • No. 5 Florida
  • No. 5 Tennessee
  • No. 5 Kentucky
  • No. 9 Arkansas
  • No. 9 Texas A&M
  • No. 10 Alabama
  • No. 10 Missouri
  • First Four Out: Georgia

The SEC has the second most teams included in Lunardi’s bracket, with the ACC leading the way with nine teams.

All eight teams currently projected to make the field are in the top 40 in the RPI.
