Updated SEC Basketball RPI: January 25 edition

Several SEC teams have scored important wins this week to help boost their NCAA Tournament hopes, and it’s showing in the updated RPI.

South Carolina notched its biggest win of the season on Wednesday at Florida, which moved the Gamecocks up to the RPI top 50.

Meanwhile, Arkansas and Ole Miss picked up victories on Tuesday that helped both teams bolster their resume. The Razorbacks’ first road win of the season helped them move up to No. 25, while the Rebels snapped Alabama’s winning streak to move back inside the top 100 at No. 84.

Heading into the Big 12/SEC Challenge this weekend, Auburn remains the SEC’s top team at No. 7, but the Tigers won’t take part in Saturday’s conference vs. conference showdown and will instead host LSU.

Here’s a look at the current RPI for all 14 SEC teams:

And here’s a look at where Big 12 teams currently stand, with their Saturday opponent in parentheses:

  • No. 8 Oklahoma (at Alabama)
  • No. 9 Kansas (vs. Texas A&M)
  • No. 16 TCU (at Vanderbilt)
  • No. 20 Texas Tech (at South Carolina)
  • No. 24 West Virginia (vs. Kentucky)
  • No. 42 Texas (vs. Ole Miss)
  • No. 54 Kansas State (vs. Georgia)
  • No. 87 Oklahoma State (at Arkansas)
