It was an important Saturday for several teams around the SEC, and the league took an even bigger step forward in the RPI by notching six wins against the Big 12.
And while the SEC’s best team didn’t participate in the challenge, it did earn a boost in the rankings.
Auburn jumped up to No. 5 in the RPI after a 25-point victory over LSU, which is the highest mark of the season for Bruce Pearl’s squad.
Meanwhile, Kentucky jumped up eight spots to No. 12 after a memorable comeback win at West Virginia.
Tennessee remains in the top 15 as well after a blowout victory at Iowa State, and Arkansas moved back up into the 20s with a one-point win over Oklahoma State.
The biggest mover of the weekend was Vanderbilt, with the Commodores rising 20 spots following a home win over TCU.

Should the Commodores win one or both of their games this week at Kentucky and Auburn, the conference will likely have all 14 teams in the top 100 of the RPI.
The Big 12 entered the weekend with all its teams inside the top 100, but Iowa State moved out after losing for the seventh time in its last nine games.
