SEC Bracketology: Alabama and Texas A&M on the rise

After another fun Saturday in SEC basketball, there were two teams that benefited most from their big wins.

Alabama and Texas A&M both took a step forward in the newest bracket projection from USA Today bracketology Shelby Mast following their victories over top 25 opponents.

The Crimson Tide jumped up to a No. 6 seed after blowing out Tennessee, while the Aggies kept their momentum going to move to the 5-line with a convincing win over Kentucky.

The loss sent the Vols to a No. 4 seed, and the Wildcats are all the way down to a 7-seed after suffering their third straight defeat.

Here’s the full breakdown of where SEC teams stand in the projected bracket:

  • #2 Auburn
  • #4 Tennessee
  • #5 Texas A&M
  • #6 Alabama
  • #7 Kentucky
  • #7 Florida
  • #8 Missouri
  • #11 Arkansas

The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee will reveal its top 16 teams on Sunday at 12:30 PM EST on CBS.
