SEC Bracketology: Kentucky and Arkansas rising in Lunardi’s Feb. 22 bracket

After an entertaining start to this week’s SEC slate, there are several teams still looking to lock down their bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Two teams that are currently trending in the right direction are Kentucky and Arkansas, as ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi has both teams on the rise in his newest bracket update.

The Wildcats won this week’s meeting between the two, and are back up to a No. 5 seed. Despite the loss, the Razorbacks are still moving up as they now sit on the 9-line.

Auburn and Tennessee, the SEC’s top two teams, continue to hold their spots after a good start to the week. The Tigers remain at a No. 2 seed after thrashing Alabama on Wednesday, while the Vols are at a No. 4 seed after beating Florida.

Missouri is also holding its spot despite a head-scratching loss to Ole Miss, with the Tigers currently on the 7-line.

As for teams that Lunardi feels are going the wrong way, Florida fell to a No. 7, Alabama dropped to a No. 8, and Texas A&M is now at a No. 9.

Georgia is the only other conference team in the mix, with the Bulldogs sitting on the Next Four Out line.

Here’s the full breakdown:

  • No. 2 Auburn

  • No. 5 Kentucky
  • No. 7 Florida
  • No. 7 Missouri
