SEC Bracketology: Where do teams stand heading into St. Louis?

The SEC regular season is complete, and now all 14 teams will turn their attention to next week’s conference tournament in St. Louis.

For some teams, what happens next week will determine whether or not they’ll be putting their dancing shoes on when Selection Sunday rolls around.

And according to the latest bracket projection from USA Today bracketologist Shelby Mast, one of those teams is Alabama. The Crimson Tide lost their fifth-straight game on Saturday in a narrow defeat at Texas A&M and are squarely on the bubble right now at a No. 11 seed.

Alabama and Texas A&M will meet again on Thursday in the second round of the SEC Tournament, so Avery Johnson’s team will have an opportunity to avenge that loss and move a step closer towards securing a bid.

Meanwhile, co-SEC regular season champions Auburn and Tennessee remain on the 3-line, with the Tigers owning the top seed in the conference tournament due to a head-to-head win in Knoxville.

Florida continued its rise back up the seeding ladder after a convincing season sweep of Kentucky, and the Gators currently sit at a No. 4 seed.

As for the Wildcats, they are still in fine shape on the 5-line, with Texas A&M right behind them at a No. 6 seed.

Arkansas and Missouri are both on the 7-line.

Here’s the full breakdown of where SEC teams stand:

  • No. 3 Auburn
  • No. 3 Tennessee
  • No. 4 Florida
  • No. 5 Kentucky
  • No. 6 Texas A&M
  • No. 7 Arkansas
  • No. 7 Missouri
  • No. 11 Alabama

The SEC Tournament tips off on Wednesday in St. Louis.
