The SEC officially set a new conference record on Sunday by landing eight teams in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
Co-regular season champion Tennessee led the way as a No. 3 seed, with the Vols earning a meeting with Wright State in the South Region.
Meanwhile, fellow regular season champion Auburn was next in line with a No. 4 seed. The Tigers will travel to San Diego for a Midwest region matchup against 13-seeded Charleston.
SEC Tournament champion Kentucky grabbed a spot on the 5-line, and John Calipari’s team will take on Atlantic 10 Tournament champion Davidson in Boise.
Florida is the only SEC team that doesn’t yet know its opponent. The Gators captured a No. 6 seed and will await the winner of the First Four game between St. Bonaventure and UCLA.
Arkansas and Texas A&M both snagged spots on the 7-line. The Hogs will open up against Butler, while the Aggies will meet Providence.
Missouri will head to Nashville as the No. 8 seed in the West region where they will square off with No. 9 Florida State.
And after much uncertainty surrounding their spot in the field of 68, Alabama moved up to the 9-line after faring well in the conference tournament in St. Louis.
The Tide will take on Virginia Tech, and a meeting with Villanova will likely await the victor.
